During the carding process our 19th Century machinery creates unspun blended fibre that highlights the qualities of the natural colours we use to create Uist Wool yarns.
Sliver and Slubbing and can be used for a whole range of creative activities including hand-spinning, felting and knitting. When spinning a new yarn, we keep a few cakes of Sliver and Slubbing aside, creating small and exclusive batches to sell by blend and weight-bracket:
Small Slubbing - Under 50g
Medium Slubbing - Under 100g
Large Slubbing - Over 100g
Sliver mega-bundles vary in weight from 250g to 350g.
